This battery lasts three times as long as alkaline batteries, and, it also outlasts other lithium battery technologies. Doppler designs battery packs in collaboration with Tadiran Batteries, in Israel. The battery pack is manufactured in the USA by Ttek Assemblies, Inc.

Th TLP-83182/D/V3 battery is a Lithium Primary Lithium-Thionyl Chloride (Li-SOCl2) battery and is based on a Tadiran Pulses Plus design. This battery has fast voltage recovery after long term storage and/or usage, high energy density, low self-discharge rate, bobbin construction, hermetic glass-to-metal-sealing, and non-flammable electrolyte.
